More portraits from Jamies time in Toronto have been added to the gallery, with one shot by Maarten de Boer. Rumours have also been circulating that Jamie can unfortunately not attend the premiere on Friday due to prior commitments. It has yet to be confirmed but is sadly looking likely

Today we were blessed with a gorgeous new photoshoot of Jamie for next months edition of GQ Mexico, where he will be gracing the front cover. I have added what textless images from it that I could find to the gallery, with the remaining ones to be added soon, along with the digital scans from the magazine. I am hoping that when they become available to update the quality but until then..

I think Radio Times may now officially be my favourite magazine. Thanks to them we got our first look at Liam Ward and I am so excited for this to be aired. It was announced that it would air at the end of 2018, likely before the Christmas period on BBC Two for those of us in the UK. High quality scans and the textless still have been added to the gallery

I know this is quite a late post but I’m now back from being on holiday and ready to catch up with everything that has been announced.

Entertainment Weekly posted an exclusive segment on A Private War a few weeks ago and with that came a first look of Jamie as photographer Paul Conroy. In the past few days, it has been announced that the film has been chosen to be screened at a number of film festivals in America ahead of its Worldwide November 16 release. It will open the Mill Valley Festival on October 4th, close the annual Woodstock Film Festival on October 14th in New York and be screened at the Chicago International Film Festival which runs from October 10 – 21. No date for the screening has been announced as of yet for CIFF

Today Jamie attended the launch of NIPanC in Belfast’s Mater Hospital alongside his dad Professor Jim Dornan and his sister Jess. Afterwards, he took part in some interviews for UTV and Newsline, with the UTV interview available to watch here. He talks about how some 20 years later, his mums death still has an affect on him in his day to day life.

He described Lorna as “very glamorous” and said she would have especially loved the aspects of his job that he hates. “My mum was a very glamorous person and probably would have liked that side of things,” he said.

“I would have been able to take her to LA, and go to premieres and that sort of stuff – it’s all the stuff I hate about the job funnily enough. The stuff I can’t stand but my mum would have loved it. She would have been very tickled by the fact I make a career out of this weird thing that I do.”

“Hopefully there is some world where she has an awareness of it.”

The charity is being set up in partnership with two national charities, Pancreatic Cancer Action (PCA) and Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund (PCRF), with the new group focusing on Northern Ireland. It aims to provide an awareness of the symptoms caused by Pancreatic Cancer to enable early diagnosis, whilst also supporting those diagnosed and their families. During one of the interviews, Jamie talked about how bleak the outlook was for those diagnosed even with the advanced medical treatment and knowledge, how the statistics of survival are still critically low, making it all the more important that it is caught quickly.

I’m sure you will have all read that yesterday it was announced that Jamie was to step down as Patron of Tiny Life to persue personal charitable endeavours. During the launch, Jim was announced as the President of the new charity and Jamie as their Patron. I for one am really proud he is supporting a charity that is so close to his and his families hearts after years of dedicating his time to fundraising for premature babies born in Northern Ireland
