Despite filming only wrapping last week, we already have our first look at Wild Mountain Thyme thanks to Variety and a new more detailed synopsis posted by Collider. The film is expected to be released some time in 2020 by Bleecker Street in the US (Anthropoid) and Lionsgate in the UK (Barb and Star, Robin Hood)

“Anthony (Dornan) always seems to be out in the fields working, worn down by his father’s (Walken) constant belittling. But what really stings is his father’s threat to bequeath the family farm to his American cousin Adam (Hamm). Rosemary (Blunt) at first seems to hold a grudge for having been shamed by Anthony in childhood, but the sparks between them would keep a bonfire blazing through the night. Her mother Aoife (Molloy) strives to unite the families before it is too late”

Variety has been given access to the first-look image for John Patrick Shanley’s “Wild Mountain Thyme,” starring Emily Blunt and Jamie Dornan. The film, which has just wrapped production on location in Ireland and New York, is being sold at AFM by HanWay Films.

The film, an adaptation of Shanley’s Broadway smash hit “Outside Mullingar,” is about obstinate star-crossed lovers, whose families are caught up in a feud over a hotly contested patch of land that separates their two farms. Other cast members include Jon Hamm, Dearbhla Molloy and Christopher Walken

Deadline has learned that the North American rights for Drake Doremus’ CJ Entertainment movie Endings, Beginnings was acquired by Samuel Goldwyn Films

The pic, starring two-time Golden Globe nominee and Divergent franchisestar Shailene Woodley, 50 Shades of Grey‘s Jamie Dornan, Avengers star Sebastian Stan, Matthew Gray Gubler (500 Days of Summer) Lindsay Sloane (Horrible Bosses) and Kyra Sedgwick (TV’s The Closer), made its world premiere at TIFF back in September

The deal for Endings, Beginnings was negotiated by UTA Independent Film Group and Adam Mehr at Pryor Cashman on behalf of the filmmakers with Goldwyn on behalf of Samuel Goldwyn Films

Signature Entertainment has struck a deal with XYZ Films for UK and Irish rights to the sci-fi film Synchronic starring Jamie Dornan and Anthony Mackie

Directed by Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead (The Endless), the Toronto and London film fests title follows two New Orleans paramedics who encounter a series of horrific deaths linked to a designer drug. Katie Aselton and Ally Ioannides are among supporting cast

The deal was negotiated by Tatyana Joffe, President, International Sales & Distribution at XYZ, and Signature’s Head of Acquisitions & Development Elizabeth Williams

UK release, which will include a limited theatrical run, will come in late 2020

Well Go USA has acquired the U.S. rights to the sci-fi thriller Synchronic starring Anthony Mackie and Jamie Dornan

The distributor will release Synchronic, which made its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival earlier this fall, theatrically beginning in 2020 as part of a seven-figure deal

The deal was negotiated by Doris Pfardrescher and Jason Pfardrescher on behalf of Well Go USA and by Nate Bolotin from XYZ and UTA Independent Film Group on behalf of the filmmakers

Today marked the second day of promotion at TIFF and this time it was the turn of Endings, Beginnings and again, Jamie has attended a lot of portrait sessions (day one here) and sat for many interviews over the course of the past few days. They can all be viewed here. All images that have been released have been added to the gallery but those of lower quality will be replaced if they are released in a higher quality. Enjoy!

Earlier today, it was announced that there have been some new additions to Wild Mountain Thyme which is due to start filming at the end of this month in Ireland. Emily Blunt has replaced Holliday Grainger in the production and added Jon Hamm, Christopher Walken and Dearbhla Molloy to the cast. It was also revealed that Lionsgate (Barb and Star, Robin Hood) has acquired the rights in the UK and Bleecker Street (Anthropoid) in the US. It all sounds very exciting and what an amazing cast!

Emily Blunt and Jon Hamm are teaming up for John Patrick Shanley’s lyrical Irish romance Wild Mountain Thyme alongside Jamie Dornan, Dearbhla Molloy and Christopher Walken.

Wild Mountain Thyme will see Blunt and Dornan play obstinate star-crossed lovers, whose families are caught up in a feud over a hotly contested patch of land that separates their two farms. Production is due to kick off on location in Ireland on Sept. 30.
